Yosemite, California 2019

In May of 2019 I visited Yosemite National Park for the first time. I had never heard of Yosemite before moving to California the year prior. I saw it all over Instagram and was blown away by how gorgeous it looked. A co-worker and I decided to drive there for the weekend from San Diego. We drove up highway 41 entering the park on windy road lined with pines. This next moment I will remember for the rest of my life. We drove through the mile long tunnel and when we came out the other side, there was a view that changed the entire course of my life. Yosemite Valley’s stunning and jaw dropping presence nearly brought me to tears. The most beautiful sight I had ever laid eyes on. No words are capable of describing the scene. Little did I know, that 3 months later I would be calling the valley home, and my life would never be the same again.
